I just got back from my vacation. It was tons of fun! Lots of updates to come!

Second Car Insurance Update.

Went to the local place that had quoted me 64$ a month for full coverage Car Insurance... They did not bother to tell me that I would also have to carry Home and Life Insurance to get that rate. In total it would cost more than my old policy. Back to the drawing board.

Verizon CEO: Get Ready for Tiered Data Plans

Verizon’s CEO Ivan Seidenberg, during a conference yesterday, said the public should get ready for tiered data plans. Why not, AT&T did it and no one complained. Monkey see, monkey do?

Following in AT&T’s footsteps, Verizon Wireless will roll out a tiered pricing structure for its data plans within four to six months, according to Verizon’s chief executive, although details of the tiers — which could coincide with the launch of the carrier’s first 4G LTE markets — haven’t been hammered out yet. Also: Verizon would "love" an iPhone, but it would have to "earn" it first.

4chan Take Down Anti-Piracy Groups

In very coordinated and anonymous attacks, members of 4chan carried out a surgical strikes on two anti-pirating sites on the internet. The DDoS attacks targeted Aiplex Software and MPAA , two well known anti-pirating groups.

Yesterday two new targets hit the radars of ‘Anonymous’, the faceless and powerful hoards who carry out 4chan attacks. The beauty is that anyone can join in the action, 4chan ‘membership’ is not even required. People wishing to participate can simply load up their Low Orbit Ion Cannon (LOIC) and enter the IP address they want to attack. The resulting assaults are massively distributed making defending against them almost impossible.

Auto Insurance Update

Not that anyone cares... I shopped around today for new auto insurance. Was able to find full coverage for 64$ a month! That is about half of what I was paying. Thanks State Farm Auto Insurance!

I have used Dropbox for about two years now and its great. Its like insurance for all your pictures and important files. When you first sign up, you get 2GB of storage. You can store public and private files. I use it to host pictures that I share online, and also as a online backup/sync between my laptop and desktop computers.

Auto Insurance

Auto insurance drives me crazy. Today they decided to raise my monthly rate for no reason. If the US government is going to require everyone to have auto insurance.... They should regulate it! These company's charge people stupid amounts of money, and we have no choice but to pay it.

Someone should get me an invite to USAA auto insurance.
